To understand the difference between Activity Log and Message Archive and Notes section in a claim management system and effectively utilize them for documenting and tracking claim-related information.

Key Steps

1. Accessing Activity Log and Message Archive:

   • Navigate to the claim tab in the claim management system.

   • Locate the Activity Log and Message Archive section on the left-hand side.

   • This section automatically records system-generated activities such as disbursements, client additions, photos added, etc.

2. Adding Entries to Activity Log:

   • Click on the "Add Entry" option to create a diary entry.

   • Fill in details such as the effective date, public visibility, billable hours, claim activity event, etc.

   • Save the entry to log manual actions or notes related to the claim.

3. Understanding Notes Section:

   • Notes are private internal remarks within the company related to the claim.

   • These notes are not shared with clients, carriers, or external parties.

   • Use notes for sensitive information like delivery instructions, client preferences, or internal communication details.

Cautionary Notes

• Ensure that sensitive information is not added to the Activity Log or Message Archive, as these are visible to all authorized users.

• Double-check the visibility settings of entries to avoid sharing confidential details with external parties.
