Objective
To guide team members on how to efficiently search for and locate claims, clients, and properties from the ClaimWizard workbench and related views.
Key Steps
- Open your workbench
- Log in to ClaimWizard.
- Navigate to your Open Claims or Workbench screen.
- Confirm you can see your list of files and the search bar at the top of the grid or in the toolbar.
- Search for a claim
- Click into the search bar on the Workbench.
- Enter part of the claim number, file number, policyholder name, or loss address.
- You can also use the global search in the top right-hand upper corner
- Press Enter or click the search icon.
- Review the filtered results and click the claim you want to open.
- Search for a client
- From the Clients tab, locate the client search field.
- Type the client’s name, company name, or other identifying information.
- Run the search to narrow the list.
- Select the correct client record to open the client profile on the right-hand side.
- Search for a property
- Open the relevant client record or go to the Properties and Claims section.

Cautionary Notes
- Make sure you are searching in the correct area (claims, clients, or properties) before adjusting filters.
- Check spelling and key details (names, addresses, claim numbers) if expected items do not appear.
- Do not modify claim or property details unless you have the appropriate security rights.
Tips for Efficiency
- Use unique identifiers (file or claim number) whenever available to quickly pinpoint records.
- Establish consistent naming conventions and property nicknames to make search results easier to recognize.
- Keep client, claim, and property records updated so searches return accurate information.
